Casamance remains an attractive, mysterious and essential tourist destination, we will discover the rural way of life of the localities while participating directly or indirectly in the development of the villages. The Casamance is a spot of predilection for the amateurs of water sports of all kinds, jet-ski, water skiing, sailing windsurfing and many more. Emphasis will be put on the city Oussouye. It is generally quiet and populated by the Diola who have the particularity of organizing unique traditional festivities and ceremonies and very popular with visitors and local people. It is one of the localities in which the traditions and the initiation ceremonies have been well preserved. We will also explore Cape Skirring one of the most beautiful resorts in West Africa, the sand is a rare finesse shaded by coconut palms and palm trees. It is dotted with large bays separated by rocky points.

We will then visit Karabane which is a village located in the extreme south-west of Senegal. It is built on an island, in the mouth of the Casamance River, it is a paradisiac shelter covered with luxuriant vegetation including palm trees, coconut palms, baobabs, cheesemongers, mango trees, flamboyants and bougainvilleas that make up a very super beautiful garden endowed with a pleasant climate.

Day 1: Hexagon – Saly

– Transfert to the hotel in Saly about 27 km of road, arrival, installation at the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Saly – Ziguinchor (by flight)

– Breakfast and discovery of the seaside resort Saly Portudad,
– Transfer in the afternoon to the Blaise-Diagne International Airport in Diass for flight to Ziguinchor,
– Arrival in Ziguinchor, transfer to the hotel
– City tour dinner and overnight

Day 3: Ziguinchor – Cap Skirring (140 km)

– Breakfast and excursion to Cap Skerring,
– Visit of the seaside resort suitable for relaxations with the possibility to do watersports (jet-skiing, water skiing, sailing windsurfing),
– Meeting with the population, lunch in a restaurant, visit of the Sangawatt museum of Diembering to the discovery of traditions and cultures of the Diola people,
– Return to Ziguinchor, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Ziguinchor – Edioungou - Oussouye (43 km)

– Breakfast and excursion to the Edioungou village to meet the women potters of MLOMP (near Oussouye), a know-how that is transmitted from generation to generation,
– Visit of Oussouye, a cultural city where many traditional celebrations take place with the possibility to meet the king. We will stop in the villages where the cheesemakers are revealed in breathtaking scenery, back in town, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Ziguinchor - Karabane Island (89 km)

– Breakfast, excursion to the Carabane island, it is a huge fishing domain with countless tropical fish species,
– Lunch in a typical Senegalese restaurant for tasting local dishes,
– Meeting and sharing with the population,
– Shopping in the artisan village,
– Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Ziguinchor – Saly/Dakar

– Breakfast and visit of the Saint-Maur-des-Fossés market in Ziguinchor,
– Transfer to the airport,
– Arrival in Dakar,
– Transfer to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Dakar – Lac Rose (Pink Lake)

Breakfast, car ride or walk around the pink Lake to the discovery of a natural curiosity, it is pink when the sun is plumb, and at dusk the pink darkens to take shades nuances of purple, there is a high concentration of salt, women from surrounding villages extract the salt that is deposited at the bottom of the lake, lunch in a lakeside restaurant, return to Dakar and visit of some attractions, the Cathedral of the African Souvenir with its Byzantine-style architecture, the presidential palace with its red guards, the Independence Square with its colonial-style buildings, the big mosque that swarms with people every Friday with its imposing minarets, the African Renaissance Monument, 

the craft village of Soumbédioune is a must-see attraction, return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Dakar – Goree - Saly- Diass

Breakfast and departure with the boat to Gorée Island (about 20 minutes). Goree is a memorable symbol of the slave trade in Africa, a “memory island” classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit of the Estrée fort which houses a historical museum, visit the House of Slaves. Walk on the Castel island cliff where we can see the Gorée Almadies Memorial monument, lunch and stroll through the friendly lanes of the island lined with houses that date back to the colonial era, return to Dakar in the afternoon and transfer to the International Airport, Blaise Diagne, evaluation and End of the Tour.
